This is the reverse of our SRT to Excel converter, enabling a round-trip workflow: export subtitles to Excel for editing, then convert back to SRT when done.

Required Excel Columns

Your spreadsheet must contain these columns (case-insensitive headers):

index: Subtitle sequence number (1, 2, 3...)
start: Start timestamp in HH:MM:SS,mmm format (e.g., 00:00:01,234)
end: End timestamp in HH:MM:SS,mmm format (e.g., 00:00:05,678)
text: The subtitle text content

What timestamp format should I use?

Use HH:MM:SS,mmm format (e.g., 00:01:23,456). This is the standard SRT timestamp format.

Does it support XLS files?

Yes. Both XLSX and XLS formats are accepted as input.

What happens with multi-sheet Excel files?

Each sheet is converted to a separate SRT file. If there are multiple sheets, the result is a ZIP archive containing one SRT file per sheet.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All uploads use HTTPS encryption. Source files are deleted immediately after conversion, and results are removed within 24 hours.
